Primary 2 have stepped into their brand-new topic “Step Into a Story” this week, and what a fantastic read start we’ve had! 📚✨
We began our storytelling adventure with the classic tale Little Red Riding Hood ❤️🧺🌲
The boys and girls have been super busy:
🎨 Painting beautiful pictures from the story
🎲 Playing games linked to characters and settings
🧺 Making baskets to help us learn that every story has a beginning, middle and end
✨ Exploring key parts of the story through creative activities
We also linked our learning to numeracy this week. The children created a graph showing who would walk through the deep, dark woods alone… 🌲😱
Let’s just say some of our P2 pupils are very brave…
…but not Miss Cubitt! 😅🙈
