As part of our In the Garden topic, Primary 2 have been reading the wonderful story of Jack and the Beanstalk. Inspired by Jack's adventure, the children planted their own seeds and watched them grow into tall beanstalks.
The children carefully filled their pots with compost, planted their seeds, and gave them plenty of water. We discussed what plants need to grow and made predictions about how tall our beanstalks might become.
We continued to watch our seeds, observed changes and recorded their growth. We had some very tall beanstalks after 3 weeks!
